Prepare to have your tastebuds tingled – Good food month is here

October is a time for feasting in Sydney with The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month presented by Citi. There is an array of culinary deliciousness to choose from with the famous Sydney Night Noodle Markets, secret sensory dinners (sssh don’t tell anyone) and much much more. Take a look at the event program and see what takes your fancy.

Here’s a quick rundown of the events that have us tantalised:

Sydney Night Noodle Markets

We didn’t think these could get any better but by the sounds of it they will be. Not only will they have returning favourites Hoy Pinoy, Mamak and Bao Stop, they’ll be some newcomers too. Queenies, with their Jamaican focused tropical cuisine, House of Crabs and delicious hand-made dumplings from Din Tai Fung. Our tummies have just started ruuuuumbling.

Secret sensory dining experience

This sounds so much fun! It really is a mystery with secret locations (there’s even a hand-drawn map) and the menu will only be revealed on the night. Tickets are $190 pp for food and drinks. There are three dates to choose from – Thurs 20, Fri 21 and Sat 22 Oct. Purchase your ticket here.

A seriously long lunch

On the 23 Oct the stars of The Star will be out in force to cook you one, very long, lunch. Find out more here.

A taste of talent

Eat lunch prepared by five of Sydney’s most talented young chefs from Eleven Bridge, Osteria, ACME, Francescana, Automata and Pinbone. This will be 5-courses of emerging wonderfulness. Lunch is served on 9 Oct at Automata.

One meaty conversation

If you class yourself as a conscientious lover of meat, this is the conversation you’ll want to be part of. Join this live panel discussion with Matthew Evans, Colin Fassnidge and Monty Koludrovic. Don’t worry, you won’t go hungry as you feast on shared meat dishes.
