10 thing we love about Potts Point

We’ve just shared some Sydney love so it’s only right that we show some affection to our home town, Potts Point. Those that know us know how much we love it. As a home, as a base for our business, as a homeowner. And here’s some of the reasons why:

1. The community

It’s probably one of the most appealing aspects of Potts Point. That an inner-city suburb, with high-rises galore, can sustain such a sense of community. And sustain it, it does. No matter what era we move into, that’s the thing that never changes.

2. The architecture

There’s an eclectic collection of architecture here. From Colonial, to The Seidler Bauhaus, and then the Mirvac transformation of hotels to residential accommodation. It makes for an impressive sight.Purple flowers of Potts Point

3.Only a 20-min walk to the CBD

Now that’s convenient. Just 20 mins walk and you can be in work. Plus, there’s no better way to start the day (especially on a wondrous Spring morning) than by a nice brisk walk.

4. A 20-min drive to Bondi Beach

One thing we love in Sydney is ocean living and living in Potts Point doesn’t mean you have to give that up. If you love an early morning swim, surf, or run on the sand, you’re only 20-mins drive from Sydney’s iconic beach.

5. The views

Sydney Harbour is one of the world’s most iconic views and you’ll be able to take it in every day. Potts Point is the perfect vantage point to soak in the Bridge, Opera House, and The Heads.

Kings Cross is the nearest station and from here you’re well connected to the rest of Sydney and beyond. If you need to get to the airport, travel down the coast, or to the other side of town.

7. The culinary culture

There are so many great restaurants and cafes here, you’re always spoilt for choice. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner you’ll be able to find somewhere delicious to eat. It’s also got that European je ne sais quoi, where you can fill your tummy in the evening, grab a Gelato, and take a leisurely stroll down the high street.

8. Be on a North-shore beach in 30-mins

As long as you time it right, you can be in Narrabeen within 30-mins on a Sunday morning. There’s a long, wild, and rugged beach to enjoy a surf or swim. For families, there’s a sheltered lagoon (complete with sand banks) so you can swim sheltered from the ocean. There’s also the wider lagoon which is great for water sports or a good walk.

9. The cool summer breeze

Despite being so close to the city, the cool breeze that blows up Macleay Street in the height of summer is so satisfying. You’re in the thick of it but you still get to experience that wonderful ocean breeze.

10. Living so close to the most beautiful harbour in the world

Whether it’s to soak in the views, or walk along one of the many wonderful walks, Sydney is certainly one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. The fact that we live right on top of it is wonderful.
