25 April. ANZAC Day. The 25th marking the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landing at Gallipoli in 1915, during the First World War.
Our chance to pay our respects to those that have fought and died for our freedom. Really to pay our respect to anyone that has fought so we can live freely. There are many services in and around the Eastern Suburbs and Inner-city Sydney. Wreath laying, marches and commemorative services. The main Dawn Service is held at The Cenotaph in Martin Place at 4.15am.
The ANZAC Day March begins at 9am on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Martin Place. It includes war veterans, descendants of those who served and died and current members of Australia’s armed services. The marchers pass the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park as an act of remembrance.
12.30 marks the start of the main commemoration service at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park. This is held next to the Pool of Reflection.
Official commemorations conclude with the 5pm Sunset Service at The Cenotaph.

The Rocks
ANZAC Day Dawn Service Bridge Climb
Climb the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge whilst also raising money for servicemen and women. This includes a 25 minute commemorative service and address by returned Australian serviceman, Nathan Jocobsen. Followed by a live rendition of The Last Post by a bugler from the Australian Army Band Sydney.
