Adding colour to the walls of any room has the power to transform it – whether that’s a painting a feature wall or a surprise painted ceiling. But choosing which colour to use can be daunting. There are so many choices out there and sometimes we need a little help from the experts. So, to help inspire your colour creativity, we thought we’d pull together a list of paint colours that are trending this year.
Warm, earthy pastels
You can play it safe beautifully with pastel colours as they add the right amount of warmth without being overbearing. Stick to earthy, warm tones in a mix of spring and autumnal colours.
Bold monochromatic
Make a statement with one colour, in different shades, and don’t be shy about it. There are so many wonderful colours out there, from deep blues, to vibrant greens, or even aubergine.
Deep, calming neutrals
If you’re looking for a neutral colour to pair with some of the bolder colours of the season like rust, navy, and more, a dusty teal is perfect. Whilst it’s classed as a neutral colour, it’s deep as well as calming.
Rich, moody hues
Yes, timeless neutrals will always be popular but we’re definitely seeing a trend towards rich, moody hues. People are getting braver and using richer, deeper colours to emulate the mood of the room.
Black and white
Perfect for our wonderful Art Deco styles in Potts Point, this high-contrast combination really creates the wow factor whilst remaining timeless.
Blue, green, and grey
Rich, saturated colours that can change based on the light in the room to create a really interesting space.
Deep earth tones
No more cool tones, we’re seeing lots of beautiful warm tones in use. Chocolate brown, terracotta, wine, olive green, and more are becoming increasingly popular in homes.
Bold
We’re becoming bolder with our colour choices and what we putting on our walls is a prime example. Homeowners are embracing colour and using it to push design boundaries which we love.
