There are lots of markets to be found in Sydney, to suit any taste. And now, we have one event fast approaching which sees fantastic markets popping up all over Sydney. From huge to intimate markets, and night markets to weekend only, there are many Christmas markets to be found in Sydney.
It’s hard to believe it’s nearly that time of year already. And whether you’re someone who puts their Christmas decorations up on the 1 Nov or 24 Dec, there’s no escaping the festive season.
So, if you’re starting to think about what to get who, we thought it would be a good chance to take a look at what and where the Christmas Markets will be in Sydney this year.
Christmas Markets are a great chance to support local Sydney businesses and makers. And a great place to find unique gems that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.
The Magic Lane Maker’s Christmas Market, 2022
This one is on this weekend, so you’ll have to be quick. It’s a collection of local makers selling their wares. From clothes to jewellery and ceramics to plants, you’re bound to find something for someone.

The Makers & Shakers Christmas Gift Market, 2022
Returning to the Inner West, this special Christmas Market will be held at the White Bay Cruise Terminal, Sydney. For two days, you’ll find over 120 craft and handmade stalls to find the perfect gift for those you love.

The Big Design Market
After a three year break, the Big Design Market is returning to the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. Here you’ll find stunning designer goods, delicious food and more. This is a great one to go to if you’re looking for that limited-edition piece of art, unique jewellery, and more.

Green Square Christmas Fair 2022
This one is a fun event for the whole family. It promises to be a Christmas wonderland with markets, lights and live music, taking over the whole of Green Square Plaza. There will be locally crafted Christmas treats, delicious food trucks and a licensed bar.

The Cannery Christmas Markets, 2022
Take a stroll through Rosebury’s revived warehouse space and perouse the 40+ stallholders, enjoy a workshop or cooking class for kids and adults, or tuck into some delicious artisanal food.

Kirribilli Markets 2022
Visit one of Sydney’s oldest markets. Trading since 1976, it’s famous for showcasing the offerings of local fashion designers, artists, food producers and more. And it’s all under the incredible sight of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Mosman Christmas Night Markets 2022
Night markets always manage to bring a bit more of a Christmassy feel to us. It’s a combination of the lights and cooler, night time temperature. So when there’s a night market in Sydney, we try to be there. And with over 130 art and craft stalls, gourmet food, live music as well as the promise of a visit from Santa, we’ll definitely be heading to the Mosman Christmas Markets this year.
