A night of comedy at El Rocco
Venture downstairs into a hidden New York-style jazz cellar to laugh your socks off. Here you’ll discover a selection of comedians who are starting to make a name for themselves, and a few famous ones too. It’s a great spot to discover new talent, laugh at old faithfuls, and just enjoy a good, old-fashioned night of comedy.
Yoga class at The Rex
Relax and breathe as you practice gentle yoga with Senior Yoga Australia teacher, Christine Glover. Here you can enjoy a healing start to your Thursdays with breathing techniques, postural yoga asana for strength and some meditation. Make sure you book in before 4pm Wednesday to secure your spot.
Drag in the dark at Grove Bar
Do you love a good dinner and show? Then this may be the perfect event for you. It’s an immersive drag and dark cabaret experience with an hour of bottomless bubbles, wine and beer, three courses of charcuterie, cheese and nibbles or you can choose the dessert option.
Gluttony at Grove
Feast your way through 90 mins of mezze, charcuterie and cheese — vegetarian and vegan options available — with bottomless drinks, every October weekend between 5 and 8. With delights like ceviche, charcuterie, signature spritzes and more, you’re sure to leave with your tummy full.
Potts Point dining tour
This is perfect for those visitors who want to know where all the locals go. Or, an introduction to the suburb if you’ve just moved in. It’s your chance to experience the small bar culture and dine at 3 to 4 different restaurants in one evening. Hosted by The Sydney Connection, you’ll be guided by Maree Sheehan the whole way and have the chance to ask all the questions you like about the area.
A night at the Kings Cross Theatre
Whether you’re an avid theatre goer or someone who just pops in to see what’s on every now and again, this is a must see. It’s the dark, gritty, funny and quick-witted new show of BAFTA award-winning Welsh playwright Alan Harris and received 4-star reviews from The Times, The Stage and more. Be warned though, it deals with some dark themes so isn’t for the faint hearted or very young.
Murder in the Grove
If you’re looking for something to do that’s completely unique and a whole-lot-of-fun, we think we may have found the event for you. It’s a murder mystery evening where you get dressed up and in character to solve a mystery whilst enjoying delicious food and drinks.
The Burlesque Bruncheon in Potts Point
Enjoy a scrumptious 3-course bottomless brunch alongside a glamorous burlesque performance.
